What ACTUALLY matters is how the messed up parts are utilized for the story telling.

The anime toned it down quite a bit thankfully, the manga bath scene (ep 13) has a few pretty questionable panels...

in the anime, yes there wasn't any but in the manga the illustrations are not censored. i personally don't consider nude child bodies as fanservice as it musn't be seen that way. however it is a huge huge bait for pedos and just thinking that the artist drew this on purpose makes me feel kinda off.

It isn’t fanservice, but it is a bit jarring how okay it is in the culture for kids to be … exposed. Tying them up naked, looking in their pants, bathing together despite not being the same sex, etc.
