Pride | Six Must-Visit LGBTQ+ Spots in Las Vegas | Visit Las Vegas (2024)

Welcome to Vegas on your terms. Las Vegas is a city that takes you as you are. It’s a place that knows you’re at your best when you’re the most authentic version of yourself.

And while there’s no Pride like Las Vegas Pride, the destination welcomes LGBTQ+ travelers 24/7, 365 days a year. Vegas is home to the cheekily named Fruit Loop – a cluster of restaurants and bars that fly the pride flag high, though you’ll find LGBTQ+ friendly spots all over the city. Read on for our can’t-miss LGBTQ+ venue recommendations!

Take note: Some of the below suggestions require tickets for entry. Check their websites for more information including theme nights, specials, VIP experiences, and bottle service.

Dance the night away in Las Vegas

Gather your crew, dress in your sexiest looks, and hit the dance floor until dawn. The Las Vegas LGBTQ+ dance scene is friendly and bursting with energy.

The “gayest spot on the Strip” is Queen Las Vegas. Supper club meets drag show meets dance party, the restaurant/bar space transforms into a dance club on Friday and Saturday nights, but there’s also a boozy drag brunch and RuPaul’s Drag Race viewing parties so you can keep up with your favorite celebrity queens. If Queen Las Vegas is your destination, why not plan the whole night out on the Strip?

Inside Piranha Nightclub, it’s all thumping beats, flashing lights, and fierce kings and queens. Hit the dance floor, get some air on the outdoor patio, or splurge on a skybox with a view of the Strip and the dance floor. Dress your best and keep your eyes open – this celebrity hangout has hosted Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee.

Local vibes and theme nights

Looking for something a little more chill? A place where you can talk with your friends, play bar games, share your fries? These local hangouts welcome everyone – and they transform into party nights on the weekends.

Pool, shuffleboard, stiff drinks and, oh, yeah, leather. The Garage has a casual local bar feel with great sports bar-style eats (think pizza and jalapeno poppers). This is the place if you’re looking to have drinks with friends, throw darts, and just have a low-key hangout with your crew. Check the events calendar before you head over. Some Saturday nights are theme nights, so wear your gear for a free shot.

Sing-alongs, karaoke and queer ladies’ nights – they all happen at Flex co*cktail Lounge, a longtime local gay bar that’s thriving in its new location. There’s music and sports on the screens, DJs spinning vinyl and a welcoming crowd. Flex co*cktail Lounge has been a go-to for Las Vegas’ LGBTQ+ travelers and locals alike for over 20 years. And while yes, there are party nights, you can also just go for a drink and bar food, hang out and be yourself.

Big hair and big brunch

For a rowdy good time with breakfast food and bottomless mimosas, you can’t beat drag brunch. You’ll see some amazing lip synchs, and you might catch the next rising drag star.

Stack your wallet with tip money and head for drag brunch at The Garden, where the co*cktails are almost as colorful as the queens. (OK, no one’s as colorful as the queens.) There’s serious talent here and resident queens have included RuPaul’s Drag Race alums Alexis Mateo and Coco Montrese, and Vegas locals Chevis Regal, Des’ree D. St. James and Salem Night. It’s not just brunch, though. Catch a Pop Star Friday at midnight or play bingo on Saturdays at 7 p.m. Get an insider’s glimpse in the video below!

Take the mic

Piano bars are plentiful in Vegas, but there’s a cornerstone LGBTQ+ friendly destination where you can be the entertainer.

Don’t Tell Mama has long been an unofficial hangout for Vegas’ lesbian scene, but everyone’s welcome. Come out and belt out your favorite jazz standard accompanied by a live piano player, enjoy the singing bartenders (many are entertainers in their own right) or just enjoy the scene. Yes, you can bring your own sheet music; yes, you can look up the lyrics on your phone; no, you don’t have to be a professional to take the mic. Show up and be you. That’s all it takes.

There’s so much more to the LGBTQ+ scene in Las Vegas. Every October, there’s Las Vegas Pride, in sync with National Coming Out Day. Held annually in January, come experience the Sin City Classic, the largest LGBTQ+ sporting event in the world. Plan your getaway with our guide to all things LGBTQ+ Las Vegas.
